Is my loved one allowed to leave at any time?

Yes. Before you leave, please check with the QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Professional) on-duty to receive any medications the resident will need to take with them. Also, please sign the resident out on our Sign Out sheet. Have a fun trip!

Am I allowed to visit my loved one at any time?

Mostly. Our facility is unlocked at 6:00 a.m. and locks again at 10:00 p.m. The only reason we would discourage family members/friends from visiting is an outbreak (influenza, norovirus, etc) in our facility or if you have an illness that could spread to our residents.

Can my loved one and I use the common areas of the house?

Yes. The entire house, with the exception of the staff offices, are yours to use. Please enjoy our gardens, sunrooms, living rooms with media centers, and craft rooms. Ask an Activity Coordinator or caregiver where you might find games and movies to enjoy!

Can my loved one take a bath or shower at any time?

Our residents have assigned bath and shower days, which can be found in your move-in packet. If the resident has an in-room shower, and our RN has cleared the resident to shower alone, then yes, the resident may shower at any time. The whirlpool room and shower room remain locked for safety.
