We’re pleased to welcome Katy Carpenter to our team as the new resident services manager. Katy will oversee the activities department at all three of our houses, developing programs, scheduling entertainment and coordinating events to enhance our residents’ quality of life. Already, Katy has immersed herself in the day-to-day lives of our residents to understand their unique wants and needs.
Although Katy is relatively new to senior living, she brings extensive leadership and service experience to our team. She previously worked as a supervisor in commercial construction as well as retail establishments. Katy has long had a passion for serving others, and looks forward to using her experience in customer relations and overseeing company operations to serve our residents.
“I’m excited to join the team at Castle Country,” Katy said. “I have always wanted to work with seniors. I just have a heart for them and feel that they deserve our respect and love.”
Katy’s compassion for the elderly began at an early age when she visited her great-grandmother at an assisted living community. Those early visits inspired her to work with seniors to help better their lives.
A fun fact about Katy—she attended high school in Namibia, Africa for two years while her mother worked as a missionary. “It was an incredible experience,” Katy said. “It really opened my eyes to the world!”
With a great deal of compassion, a deep-seated desire to help others, and a firm belief that everyone deserves to feel special, Katy makes a great addition to our team and we’re lucky to have her.
